STANDS AT PAPERIFIC EXPOS
All stands are priced at $230 per square metre. This covers your involvement in the entire three day event. Stands are available at depths of either 2 metres, 2.5 or 3 metres. Our minimum width (length) stand is 3 metres.

EXAMPLES: A 2m x 3m stand = 6 square metres and will cost $1380, A 3m x 3m stand = 9 square metres and costs $2070.

Of course you can go wider than 3 metres if you like. The floorplans are drafts only. They show several 2x4 stands available now, but we can usually adjust the stand boundaries to suit the width you require.

Corner stands are popular and are usually allocated to a stand that is at least 4m wide.

Paperific stand Harry the Hirer will build the shell scheme stands at our shows this year using mascot blue panels, 2.4m high. These are velcro-receptive walls. You will also have a fascia with your business name, a minimum of two mounted 120watt spotlights (2 per 3 metres width) and a 4 amp power point. More details about the shell scheme are here. Trestle tables - either 1.8 or 2.4 m lengths, and chairs can be booked through Paperific. Shelving and other furnishings will be available for hire directly from Harry the Hirer at an additional charge. Click here to open a pdf version of the catalogue in a new browser window. Email ross.johnston@harrythehirer.com.au if you'd like to be sent a printed catalogue.

Note: Your displays and furnishings will need to be contained within your stand - no sticking out at sides or front and no higher than 2.4m please.

We do not provide special lighting for stand exteriors. If you wish to display stock facing out of your stand, you may wish to hire extra lights - it is up to you.

Fascia is standard. You may request 'no fascia' but will probably pay a little extra for the arms required to mount your lights to the back walls of the stand. Arrange this with Stacey in advance.

Your stand space is not confirmed until you've supplied these three items:

  1. your application form

  2. insurance certificate of currency or show policy application

  3. your deposit of one-third of the total cost of your stand

I will discuss the floorplan prior to receiving these things, but will not hold it if you fail to supply any one of the above-listed items. It is simply not fair to pencil-in exhibitors who do not immediately formalise their bookings. Location is a matter of first come, first serve, though I might suggest locations to you that will help us avoid a cluster of same-type businesses.

If you fail to pay the final balance owing on your stand by the required deadline - end of February for the Autumn Expo and 31 July 2008 for the Spring Expo, you risk losing your floorplan position to someone else who has paid on time and prefers your position. In fact, you risk forfeiting your deposit and losing your booking altogether. Please pay by the deadline.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT
There is a 5% discount for retail exhibitors who pay in full by 18 July 08 for the Spring Retail Expo. Mark the early bird date on your calendar and endeavour to save yourself some money! There is also a 2nd show discount of 5% if you exhibit at both Paperific retail expos in 2008. Discounts are to be claimed in the final payment - not the deposit, unless you pay in full when you book.

PUBLIC LIABILITY
Each exhibitor is required to carry 10 million dollars in public liability insurance. An up to date certificate of currency must be submitted with your application. Otherwise you will be invoiced for the $75 show insurance policy made available to Paperific exhibitors through the expo insurers. More details are on our insurance page which I urge you to take th time to read.

PROMOTING THE EXPO
We know for a fact that our most effective publicity comes from the participating exhibitors. In signing on for a Paperific Expo, you agree to help promote our shows to your customers. Retail shops are required to keep a stack of flyers at the main counter. If your business conducts mail-outs of newsletters via the post or email, you must promote the show to your customers. A link to the Paperific website from your site is greatly appreciated and will be reciprocated. Tell us what you need - flyers, web graphics, an editorial - we will help you to promote the show. Half page and full page advertising has been booked in Australia’s best papercraft magazines: Stamping and Papercraft, Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations. We also have paid banner advertising on various craft websites and are listed in multiple directories of a "What's On" nature. Of course, the Paperific website and email lists are an important promotional tool for us as well.

PROMOTING YOUR BUSINESS ON OUR WEBSITE
Soon after you are officially booked into an expo, we will list your business on that expo's webpage. We will link to your website if you have one. Many Aussie papercrafters use our exhibitor list as a web directory - a starting point when they want to surf papercraft sites. Also, the links from our site to yours are likely to boost your ratings with search engines like Google. Bonus!

MAKE AND TAKES
Make and Takes can increase your sales! If you are prepared to commit a full-time tutor and supplies to run a minimum of 300 quick, free make and take craft projects at your stand, Paperific will supply a 1.8m trestle table, 4 chairs and extra space in your stand for only $230. A 2m deep stand will be increased by 4 square metres. A 3m deep stand will gain 3 square metres. Paperific customers love the Make and Takes so we'd love for you to do them. Having said that, there are strict rules about keeping the table contained inside your stand and being open for make and take business pretty much full time. It is a commitment, yes, but there are lots of pay-offs if you design your projects so they are cheap and fast yet appealing to papercrafters. Read more about Make and Takes on this webpage.

Note: If you are a wholesale distributor wishing to have a stand in the retail section of our expo, promoting, rather than selling, you are required to participate as a Make and Take Exhibitor. The same applies to party-plan representatives or any business not conducting retail sales at our expo.

CLASSES
Classrooms can be hired Friday, Saturday or Sunday this year. You may hire a classroom for the entire day or at an hourly rate. Classes will be promoted on our website and bookings will be handled by you. Read more here.

TRADE EVENTS
A segregated wholesale trade event will be held on the Friday of both expo weekends. It will be open to the trade from 10am to 7.30pm. The retail area of the expo will be closed to everyone except exhibitors at 5pm Friday. Further Information if you are considering exhibiting at the Trade Event is here.

TELEPHONE LINE HIRE
Most exhibitors bring mobile eftpos machines and their 'click-clack machine' as back-up. If you want a telephone line for eftpos, I will make arrangements with the venue on your behalf. There will be a charge.

TRANSPORT
Agility is our official carrier. If you are attending a show from out of state and you are not transporting the goods yourself, we want you to use Agility. From my end, I don't want to liaise with more than one carrier, sorry. You'll need written consent from me if you use another carrier.

ACCOMMODATION AND MAPS
You will find logistical information relevant to the expo linked from its "public" page: Spring.
