I'm Stacey Apeitos, and I've been runnning craft expos since 2000.
Since its inception, exhibitors have referred to Paperific as "the friendly show". I won't claim that there's never been any conflict (!), but I do work hard at being fair to all. Like you, I have run a craft business and exhibited at the shows. I understand what's involved from all angles.
In 2008 we scheduled TWO Paperifics in Melbourne. Our Autumn Expo, at the end of March was a great success - some exhibitors reported record sales, despite our customer attendance figures being lower than October 2007.
Our upcoming Spring Expo is the traditional time of year for Paperific and typically attracts customers from around Australia and even abroad. We will be at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds in a bright, spacious venue purpose-built for exhibitions.

When you are ready to commit to a space at either the retail expo or trade event, give me a ring on 03 9570 3422 to discuss your stand position. I will pencil you in and hold the booking 48 hours. A deposit is required within that time frame or the space is released again and may be booked by someone else. Most people pay over the internet and email me the receipt right away.
I do not have a merchant account but will accept credit card through PayPal if you add an extra 3.4% surcharge when you pay.
A deposit is one-third the total stand price. Deposits are non-refundable, unless the expo is cancelled, which is highly unlikely.
If this is your first time considering a stand at Paperific, don't hesitate to get in touch and ask questions. But don't wait too long. As you can see from our expo floorplans, space is going fast.
