Amazing Concertina Spine Book

This class is full - sorry!

Stampers, scrapbookers, collage artists, calligraphers … all paper crafters will find applications for this cool book construction technique. With a concertina spine and simple interlocking system for attaching pages, it involves no stitching or adhesives till you reach the point of attaching the cover. You can even remove and replace pages after it is complete. You don’t like to measure? Neither do I. So I bet you’ll love this ingenious book construction method as much as I do. Pages can be a uniform size or you can mix and match, attaching tags, envelopes and ephemera in imaginative ways. It requires no special product or system.

As you can see from the samples in the bottom picture, the technique can be applied to all shapes and sizes of books, a variety of materials, and covers can be attached in different ways.

You will make two maquettes – a single and a double spine codex - in this class to keep and refer to as samples ... or once you are home you can decorate them in your own style. All tools and materials and a technique handout are provided.
